Recommended by Families: Maritim Hotels Ranked Among Germany's Top Family-Friendly Hotel Brands
Maritim Hotels has been ranked among Germany's top three hotel brands for families in the latest “By Families, For Families” consumer survey conducted by the independent German rating and ranking agency ServiceValue. Based on 117,000 consumer reviews covering 551 providers across 37 industries, the survey asked participants which companies they would recommend to other families based on their own customer experiences over the past 24 months.
The owner-managed German hotel group Maritim received the rating “Very High Recommendation”, placing second in the Hotels category between Familux Resorts and Familotel: “Personal service, attractive benefits for children and, above all, a spacious swimming pool at every hotel are among the features we have been offering families for many years. We are delighted to have achieved such a high ranking, particularly as our core business is focused more on business travellers and, unlike the other top-ranked brands, our name does not include the word ‘family’,” says Erik van Kessel, Managing Director of Operations.

Maritim operates 24 hotels in Germany and 10 internationally. At its German hotels, children up to the age of six stay free of charge in their parents’ room, with breakfast and dinner included at no extra cost. Overnight stays for children aged 7 to 12 cost approximately €34 per child per day, while overnight stays for teenagers cost approximately €58 per night when sharing a room with their parents. Both family rates include Maritim’s extensive breakfast buffet.
Families can choose from centrally located Maritim city hotels in destinations such as Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt, Cologne and Stuttgart, resort hotels surrounded by nature in Bad Wildungen and Bad Homburg, the lakeside Maritim TitiseeHotel, or the Baltic Sea resorts of Timmendorfer Strand and Travemünde.

“Spontaneous city breaks and short getaways are becoming increasingly popular, partly due to rising airfares and the generally high cost of holidays abroad. Maritim city hotels offer families the opportunity to discover exciting destinations without compromising on high-quality service, relaxation, wellness or swimming fun – especially during the upcoming summer holiday season,” says van Kessel.
